With the P2P (Papakura to Pukekohe) electrification project there are no commuter trains between Papakura and Pukekohe and there are sections of line where a track is closed. This video shows Train 201, the Northern Explorer running on the "Up Main" in the down direction. Crossing Sutton Rd, Drury the train is about 37km into it's journey from Strand Railway Station out of 680km to Wellington.

We were at Otahuhu Railway Station waiting for 163X to leave the yards at Westfield on it's way to Wiri from Auckland Port. First DL Class Locomotives in Revenue Service on the NAL to Whangarei
The 82-30B Terex would out perform any thing in its class. Absolutely way ahead of its time. I still have my 82-30B and it's just simply a good dozer. 8V-71T sounds almost good as a 671.
Thanks for your insights. Maybe shoot a video of your 82-39 in action, post it to RUclips and comment again and I'll watch it. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
This truck went to Trenton airshow back in the 90's and seen it hot as hell.
I bet it put on a great show there also! Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
they were good machines in there day compete with cat in 60s and 70s
dirt not to friendley
The clay must have been fairly hard, not much going into the bowl and not much traction. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
we had them used to put 671 in for front engine turned down small injecters worked good
this guy can move dirt work fo me anytime
all ts 14 automatic
lots of contractors ran fleets of these
I think this is the only Terex bulldozer that I have seen working, I have seen a Terex 82-80/Euclid TC-12 at the transport museum in Wanaka, NZ. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
nice! i love that to watch on going back to palmerston north from napier by kiwirail driver a shifts. Am in Hawke's bay 🇳🇿👍👍
who would steal this content, its not even the full clip wtf you turn it off before its over?
The shortened video is covered in many of the replies and it's also in the description. On the positive side you watched until the end, have a look through my videos and there might some that will please you more. Hundreds of times google have informed me that this video has been stolen and uploaded to RUclips, who knows how often to other platforms. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony

I was there that day. Mr. Shockley is one amazing driver. That liquid oxygen makes for quite a show.
Shockwave pit on a better show than any jet powered car that I have seen in New Zealand. The audio doesn't capture how loud it was. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony

No big deal
I'm sure that if I was behind the wheel it would have been a big deal! Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
This CV-580 sounds like C-130
The CV-580 has a civilian version of the turboprops that are in the C-130. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.
They're some rough on equipment
On watching this vid again the operator doesn't look very smooth. This scene is now history, the last train headed south from Otiria in 2016. I must have a look at my older vids to see if any aren't commented on, 13 years is quite a long time. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
Great camera work. Hello from Kirikiriroa Hamilton!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.
I want recreated the concept of Renault Clio V6 in a Ford Fiesta 2000's, you guys made de most dificult put the V6 engine in the back . However you forgot the bodykits and other detail interior stuff, but I like your crazy work
Few darwin award contestants there!
Yes, probably not the first time these sort of shenanigans have happened here in front of an oncoming train.
Remember. Its 2 liter.
That's right, a 13B is about 1.3 litres plus a third rotor of about 650cc make it pretty close to 2litres. flic.kr/p/pM6NQY for the engine. This car has also raced as a 2 rotor. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
Birds were curious. Nice extra
I was a bit worried about them as I could see them flying near to the drone. There is also a video on my channel shot from the ground on the edge of the road on the right of these clips. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.
@@anthony851 your welcome
Excellent video!
The plan is one day to ride behind Gabriel and let the drone follow the entire trip to Taumarere and like this video record the audio from the train on a camcorder. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.
Clearly I got the wrong Otiria Triangle, thanks for sharing
I'm guessing you were thinking about Otira, the extra "i" make all the difference. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.
Great Video Anthony, Nice name, thanks for sharing
Hopefully there will be more NAL videos to share when the railway reopens. It will also be great when the line reopens to Otiria, I caught the last train leaving in 2016 and will be there for the first one to arrive. If I ever meet you out there I'll tell you the story behind my user name. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.

Great sounding horn
Quite different to what we have in NZ. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.
Pleased to see the wombats made the cut. Looking forward to Part2.
They were always going to be included in the video. I didn't see any more while we were in Tasmania. Thanks for stopping for them. I best get a wriggle on with part 2 then! Anthony
Flew the Frontier 440's and 580's in the late 50's and mid 60's. I flew to Lincoln, NE student fare for about $35.00 from Alamogordo, NM.
Sadly I never got to fly in one of these an now won't have the chance in NZ as they have been retired. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
RIP shockwave jet truck 😭🪦⚰️
No shortage of DLs here, despite at least 3 are currently parked up at Hutt for a foreseeable future. I know 2 of them are in for a bogie change, while one apparently is causing so much problems amongst the crew
I had seen that 3 DL's of the early batch were taken out of service with no mention of the issues only speculation. Maybe Train 217 has 2 locos to maintain the timetable. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony+
❤
i know a lot of contractors who made lots of money with these we had them repower with 671 in front big difference

❤ Before I was 10 I flew in the 440 & the 660. Glorious!. ❤️
You are one of the lucky ones. maybe only 1 580 still flying in Canada. Thanks for watching and comment in, Anthony
Bob Muravez (aka Floyd Lippencott Jr.) who drove the Freight Train for John Peters and I were both in the Road Kings of Burbank. Back in the day. Had a lot of good times with Bob. Any idea who was driving duing this Nostalgia Drags event?
Thanks for your memories. Sorry no idea who was driving and the results don't go back that far. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
Every time I see one of these old birds, I ask myself, "Was that one I flew on back in the day?" Was this a North Central "Northliner" ? What great memories! Thanks so much!

Nice shots of the 580. After over 7,500 hours in the 580, it’s great to see again and I flew this aircraft at Frontier Airlines, WOW. Thanks for posting. 👍👍👍. 4-16-2023
It should be me saying WOW when someone finds my video who actually flew this aircraft. Air Chathams have retired their Convair's. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
Taipa, near mangonui? Did you get any good shots of the Rangiahua rail platform or the abundant rail embankments on the way past? Or the Opua branch, if you went the other way?
Where was this, and when?
Yes, that Taipa on Saturday. www.vwnationals.nz/ I have photos on my flickr of the railway north of Okahau and towards Opua. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony
